We have now settled into our new premises at 5 High Street, Gillingham. We are very pleased that the increased space and facilities has enabled us to provide a better and more convenient service for our clients and also improved our staff working conditions.
Our 3rd floor conference suite is now being frequently used for large professionals meetings and we are happy to be able to provide this service to our fellow solicitors and experts.
In November a valued member of our team Gary Holland qualifies as a solicitor. We congratulate Gary who joined us part way through his training contract and wish him continued success for the future.
The Care Law Solicitors of DSD are again attending the annual 'Association of Lawyers for Children' conference in November. This is a very important conference and the team will return with a wealth of ideas and knowledge gained from some of the best care Lawyers in the UK.
The new Personal Injury department launched their radio campaign on Invicta FM in September and we are pleased and encouraged by the positive feedback and response we have received. As a result of this the PI/Civil department is growing rapidly and we hope to continue with this expansion into 2009.
All the staff at DSD will once again participate in our Christmas Charity fund. Instead of exchanging Christmas Cards all employees add the money to a fund this is then matched pound for pound by the partners and donated to our chosen charity. This year we have chosen the Demelza House Children's Hospice.
We plan to organise more charity fundraising for 2009 so watch this space for news.
