Ryan was called to the Bar in July 2008 by the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn after having completed his BVC, graduating in July 2008 following his degree for which he graduated with First Class Honours. Ryan has undertaken the Qualified Lawyer's Transfer Test and should cross-qualify as a solicitor in August 2010. Thereafter, he hopes to work towards gaining his Higher Rights of Audience in addition to becoming a Children's Panel Solicitor in due course.
Prior to joining DSD in May 2010, Ryan was employed by a local firm of solicitors in which he gained experience in all areas of Family Law including, Divorce, Ancillary Relief, Residence and Contact disputes, as well as Injunctions and personal protection.
Ryan runs a varied caseload of both private and public family law with a particular interest and bias in Public Law Children Act Proceedings.
Ryan is an enthusiastic lawyer who is committed to client care and to maintaining a high standard for all of his clients. Wherever possible, he will conduct the majority of his own advocacy to ensure clients receive continuity and consistency.
