Louise Carberry









Louise joined the firm in November 2010 having obtained an Upper Second Class Law Degree from the University of Kent in 2009 and completed her Legal Practice Course in 2010.  Louise undertook her training with the firm, and in that time gained experience in all aspects of Family Law, including Public and Private Children Law and all aspects of divorce and matrimonial matters. Louise also undertook a secondment during her training and gained experience in Wills and Probate.

Louise qualified as a solicitor on 2nd April 2013 and joined the team in the Herne Bay office in October 2013.   Louise has experience in representing parents and other extended family members in care proceedings and has dealt with a range of issues, ranging from neglect to a variety of very serious abuse cases.  Louise regularly attends court to represent her clients and her cases have included the representation of vulnerable clients with a variety of difficulties and non-English speaking clients.

Louise also acts for parents, and other family members in relation child protection meetings, pre proceedings and in private law matters including Parental Responsibility, Child Arrangements, Specific Issue and Prohibited Steps Orders.

As of June 2016 Louise is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, accredited members will have shown to the satisfaction of the Law Society that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of children law and the representation of children.
